Mermaids is a national group. It caters specifically for 12-25 year olds who are trans or gender questioning.
It used to have a group running in Liverpool, but the person running the group has since retired so the group no longer runs. Most of the people who used the local Liverpool group now attend GYRO However there has been a gap caused by the ending of the local group and several people are looking at creating a new group to replace the old group.
However, Mermaids has a great online presence and a large amount of online resources. They also have national help lines for children who need help and advice.
Parents & Family
Mermaids do provide support for parents who have a trans child.
