+Spirit Level is a transgender peer-to-peer support group in Liverpool. It has been around a long time and its members have a lot of lived experience of being trans in Liverpool. It's a great way to meet other trans people, make new friends and find yourself.
-Spirit Level is a P2P group in liverpool, they have been about a long time and are a peer led group with a new leader nominated each year.  Generally most meetings revolve around various political issues and discussions on how things can be improved within the community. After meetings, people generally go to a pub where many one-to-one conversations take place.
-Spirit Level is a great way of meeting other trans people and gaining a social group. It is also a great way of discovering yourself.

It has occasional guest speakers suggested by the members and discussion around particular topics. It is the lead organiser for the Trans Day of Visibility in March each year. -The group does tend to be slightly more politically focussed rather than support focussed.  The group is at the time of writing mostly a trans-woman group with no trans-men in attendance.
+The group mainly discusses the issues facing the trans community in Liverpool but will happily discuss more personal things like hate crime, access to hormones and other clinical services, feminization and so on.  It is mostly trans-women who attend but is open to transmen and those who are intersex, gender-fluid, -curious or incongruent.

 ===== Where & When =====
-Spirit Level meet every two weeks on wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm.  They currently meet at The LJMU Student Life Building which is near liverpool limestreet station.  The meetings are held at one of the John Mores University student buildings and as such you will need to contact the organiser to get your name (or alias) added to the list of people attending so that you can gain access to the building
+Spirit Level meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Sahir Sunny Room, 4th Floor, LCVS Building, 151 Dale Street, Liverpool from 7pm-8.45pm. The people staffing the reception are very accepting so you can just turn up and say you are going to the Spirit Level meeting
